Transdev Vertrieb GmbH recently donated 2,500 euros to the Ronald McDonald House at the German Heart Center in Munich, thereby sponsoring an apartment where families can stay while their sick children are being treated.
The donation was handed over by our colleague Michael Foit and was received by Claire Heinrich, the house manager of the Ronald McDonald House.
The Ronald McDonald House Munich has been providing families of seriously ill children with heart defects with a home to live in while their children are being treated at the German Heart Center since 1995. Since December 2012, the house now offers space for 24 families, giving them the opportunity to support their little fighters on their difficult journey. With the donation, Transdev Vertrieb GmbH is taking on a sponsorship for Apartment 23 in the amount of 2,000 euros, thus covering the entire cost for one family for one year. The remaining 500 euros of the donation will be used for needed purchases for the house in Munich itself.
Michael Foit is particularly keen to take on the sponsorship.
For me, the Ronald McDonald House in Munich is the most perfect place in the world, because in this house all people live together peacefully, regardless of their nationality, religion, skin color and social background! They all have one goal in common: that their children, who are fighting for their lives in the heart center next door, will soon be healthy again!
