Connexion Móvil finalized negotiations with Transmilenio achieving a 4 year extension and a fleet addition of 58 new Bi-Articulated Buses in the Bus Rapid Transit System of the Colombian Capital.

Bogota is a 8 million inhabitant city and Transmilenio is the backbone ofthe transportation system with a daily ridership of over 2.5 Million passengers. Each Bi-Articulated Bus has a 250 passenger capacity and a 27 m length, specially designed for massive transportation. These buses will present a new longitudinal configuration of the seats inspired by metro designs.

Thanks to a $20 million investment, Connexion Móvil has extended its contract until Dec 2023 (instead of December 2019) with the current operation of 161 articulated buses at the south of Bogota.

The excellent operational KPls of Connexion Móvil (#1 with best KPI’s of the system since the beginning of the contract) and the commitment of its team were the key success factors to close thedeal.

I am so happy and proud of the hard work that has been done and the extension goes to show that the day to day quality of service has been recognized by the client.
Santiago Cucalon, CEO Connexion Móvil.
