Isilines tests the blockchain with its new offer of Bitcoin payment

isilines, Transdev Group’s subsidiary, is pursuing its innovation drive to improve its service for travellers. Having been the first long-distance bus operator to offer real-time tracking of its coaches in France, the red bus company is now enabling its customers to buy their tickets with Bitcoin.

 
 

Bitcoin is a virtual currency based on the blockchain, which is a decentralised, transparent and secure storage technology.

To implement this solution, isilines built a partnership with Paymium, a French start-up specialised in secure and compatible exchanges of bitcoin and euros.

This payment method is available on the same basis as the traditional credit card payment and is already operational on isilines.fr.
