Why this project?
Comme les Autres, founded in 2011, supports people who have become disabled after an accident in their rebuilding process. The association intervenes when people leave rehabilitation centers, filling a gap in specific support for those whose lives have been turned upside down. Faced with daily challenges in an often unsuitable environment, the association offers comprehensive support – physical, psychological, social and professional – to help these people overcome the feeling of exclusion and reintegrate fully into society.
How the association works
The association offers comprehensive support over 1 to 4 years, covering all aspects of life (mobility, housing, rights, emotional life, professional integration), including :
- 5-day sports adventure stays to practice outdoor sports such as paragliding or scuba diving.
- Regular local sports and cultural activities.
- Group workshops and personalized individual follow-up.
This method, inspired by the personal experience of the founders, uses sports and thrills to stimulate the physical, psychological and social reconstruction of beneficiaries.
