SuperShuttle Paris, a shared and personal shuttle service for airport transfers in the Greater Paris area, is launching SuperShuttle Mobile, a mobile website enabling customers to make reservations on Smartphones and tablets and track their shuttle’s location in real time, up to three hours before the scheduled pickup time.

The mobile web has overtaken Internet access via desktop and laptop computers (June 2011 Flurry study) and SuperShuttle is keeping pace: the service is offering its customers a site optimized for their smartphones and tablets. Customers will now be able to make shuttle reservations from a mobile phone or tablet computer by connecting to the www.supershuttle.fr site, which will automatically redirect them to m.supershuttle.fr, SuperShuttle Paris’s dedicated mobile website.

SuperShuttle’s mobile website not only supports reservation scheduling and management, it also offers a “live” location feature for tracking the shuttle prior to pickup. Customers can follow their shuttle in real time on the online map, beginning three hours before their scheduled pickup time. The feature allows them to make the most of their time while waiting, going about their business with complete peace of mind.

The new mobile website puts the finishing touches on the rollout of the new www.supershuttle.fr site, which is connected to the U.S. site www.supershuttle.com. Together the websites account for 50% of reservations, or 4 million passengers a year in the United States, a market SuperShuttle has served for 25 years, and 100,000 passengers a year in France.

A Veolia Transdev subsidiary since 2007, SuperShuttle launched its shuttle service in Paris in 2009. SuperShuttle Paris offers shared and personal shuttle service between Paris and its three airports (Charles-de-Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais), seven train stations and Disneyland Paris.

About SuperShuttle

A pioneer in shared airport transfers, SuperShuttle is currently the world’s best-known name in airport transfers, providing door-to-door service to more than 8 million passengers a year. Passengers give a little of their time to share their shuttle with others traveling in the same direction. In return they get a very practical solution that is cheaper than a taxi and lets them leave their car at home and avoid passenger transportation. To minimize the number of stops, management software groups passengers by geographical area and organizes each transfer as efficiently as possible.
