The Mobility as a Service (MaaS) application Moovizy 2 has been selected among the three finalists for the International Union of Public Transport (UITP) Awards, in the « Multimodal Integration » category.
Saint-Etienne – the first French city to develop a global mobility service called MaaS (Mobility as a Service) – has just seen its application selected for the final of the UITP Awards. It is now competing alongside two major capitals, Berlin and Moscow, in the « Multimodal Integration » category.
This award recognizes « a project, policy or initiative that has significantly contributed to improving access and attractiveness of transport in a network for a significant number of customers ».
The awards will be presented on February 7, 2022 during the UITP Congress in Dubai.
Moovizy 2, France’s first MaaS offering on a metropolitan scale
Developed jointly with Transdev and Cityway, a technological expert in serviced mobility, the Moovizy 2 application makes it easier for residents to get around the city. This global mobility service is the only mobile application in France that can manage all means of transport (bus, streetcar, trolleybus, self-service bicycle, car-sharing, cabs, train and carpooling) in a single solution.
It brings together, in real time, all the information relating to the transport chain throughout the Saint Etienne Metropole area. It now offers the possibility to manage, book and pay for all your trips, whatever the means of transport used, in a single application via a smartphone.
