Transdev Germany’s subsidiary INGmobil GmbH in the Ingelheim area, southwest of Frankfurt-am-Mainz has won a new contract to provide bus services on behalf of the regional transit authority of Kommunalverkehr Rhein-Nahe GmbH (KRN). This was recently announced by the responsible public transport authority as the result of a completed tender process.
The contract, which covers approximately 0.98 million bus kilometers per year including on-demand bus services, is for regional bus services in the district of Mainz-Bingen. A total of 20 buses will be operated under the INGmobil brand on 30 routes in the service area between Bad Kreuznach, Ingelheim and Mainz. The contract, which requires around 30 employees, runs for ten years and will start on 17 October 2022.
We are very pleased about this new contract, as it fits very well with our current transport services in the region. It also allows us to compensate for expiring contracts within the Bus South-West region in 2022 and secure jobs.
