Transdev has expanded its successful WeRide microtransit service to Peoria, Arizona, as of January 6, 2025, marking the fourth city in the program alongside Avondale, Goodyear, and Surprise.
The Peoria service operates in a 10-square-mile zone, offering on-demand, flexible transit solutions that connect residents to jobs, shopping, recreation, and the Valley Metro network for enhanced first- and last-mile mobility.
WeRide has already achieved notable success, with Avondale exceeding 2 million riders and adding Saturday service, and Goodyear doubling daily ridership. Riders consistently rate the service highly, with app ratings above 4.9 stars. Transdev aims to build sustainable, community-focused transportation solutions, with General Manager Jacob Fritz emphasizing partnerships that deliver measurable benefits to improve quality of life.
