16 finalists will compete on September 7 for the title of Sweden’s Best Bus Driver. It is now clear that 6 of the finalists come from Transdev. The Swedish Bus Driver Championships are arranged to draw attention to the professional role of bus drivers and show how important their competence is.
The 2020 Championships are carried out in two parts. The first step in the qualification took place through an online test. When the qualifying section closed on June 19, almost 600 bus drivers, which is almost 80 more than last year, had completed the test. The 16 bus drivers with the highest score will now advance to the final schedule on September 7.
During the final competition, the finalists will have to do extensive practical tests that show the breadth of the competence and knowledge that a bus driver must have to make the trip pleasant, comfortable and safe for passengers. In the competition, the finalists will be challenged by, among other things, slippery road test and emergency evacuation. A new test in the competition for this year is the service element.
The final will take place on Monday, September 7 at Gillingebanan north of Stockholm.
This year due to COVID-19 restrictions, the competition will be held without an audience, and the award ceremony will be followed via a live broadcast.

The Swedish Bus Driver Championships are organized by the Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises in collaboration with the newspapers Resforum and Trafikforum, which are the Nordic region’s leading newspapers in passenger traffic.
