In partnership with the Regional Health Agency (ARS) and the Red Cross, Transdev in the Paris region has set up a mobile COVID-19 screening system. Transdev in Darche-Gros has been chosen to transform one of its tourist coaches into Mobile Lab.
This 100% electric coach, suitable for people with reduced mobility, has been fitted to accommodate patients wishing to be tested for COVID-19. In order to guarantee their safety and compliance with sanitary rules, measures have been put in place on board the vehicle: disposable covers, hydroalcoholic gels, wipes, wearing a mask, disinfection of the space.
Since late November the Mobile Lab has been traveling to different communities in the Paris region to screen between 200 and 400 people per day, until mid-January. Patients only stay on board for a few minutes while they perform their PCR test.
To inform passers-by about this innovative initiative, a magnetic strip in the colors of the operation was placed on the side of the vehicle and a kakemono was positioned at the entrance to the queue.
