Transdev’s subsidiary Verkehrsbetriebe Mittelrhein (VMR) in Germany received the coveted safety certificate from DEKRA, the largest vehicle safety inspection and certification company.

The certificate attests to the company’s « safe passenger transportation with buses in tourist and local public transit » and that the strict requirements of the catalog of criteria for the TÜV/DEKRA procedure for safe passenger transportation are met to an above-average degree in all sub-areas.

We are very pleased to receive this special seal of approval and are proud that all our modern vehicles meet the high safety standards of TÜV and DEKRA. The safety of our passengers, and also our employees, is always our top priority. The safety of our passengers, and also our employees, is always our top priority.

Cornelius Kournettas, Managing Director of TÜV and DEKRA

Transdev’s bus operations in northern Rhineland-Palatinate are grouped under the brand name Verkehrsbetriebe Mittelrhein (VMR). These include Ahrweiler Verkehrs GmbH and Verkehrsbetriebe Rhein-Eifel-Mosel GmbH (VREM), which operates more than 80 bus routes in the Mayen-Koblenz district.

The DEKRA « Safe Passenger Transportation » certificate is awarded after a comprehensive system audit. Independent experts examined the standard in three areas, as well as the implementation of legal regulations, the organizational processes in the company, and additional points that have been classified by a committee as relevant to safety in passenger transportation.
