ADIE, pioneer and key player in microcredit in France, launches the 7th edition of the microcredit week to be held from 7 to 11 June 2011.

During this week, information forums will be organized in places of high traffic in several French cities as well as overseas. Open days events in ADI offices are also planned.

As part of the communication campaign, Veolia Transdev supports the action of ADIE alongside public and private partners.

Veolia Transdev networks will distribute flyers to passengers and display posters in the vehicles and in the sales agencies.

The aim of this event is promoting microcredit and highlighting the action of ADIE to support micro-entrepreneurs.

ADIE, a non profit state-approved association, created in 1989 by Maria Nowak , introduced in France the concept of microcredit. With relatively small loans, the association helps people excluded from the labor market and without access to the traditional bank loans, to grow their business through microcredit and, thus, to create their own source of income. In addition to microcredit, ADIE provides to entrepreneurs a tailored support.

With ADIE more than 73,000 enterprises have been created by unemployed and recipients of welfare benefits, with a survival rate of 68% two years after their creation.
