Jakop Dalunde is a member of the European Parliament for the Swedish Green Party since February 2020. He was also a member of the European Parliament from 2016 to 2019. Jakop serves as a member of the committee of Transport and Tourism (TRAN), a substitute member of the committee of Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE), a substitute member of the Foreign Affairs committee (AFET) and is part of the delegation to Palestine.
Jakop Dalunde has been working at The Swedish Association of Graduate Engineers, been Program Director for digital policy at the think tank Fores and did his military service as a firefighter. In politics, he has been spokesperson for The Swedish Young Greens (the youth wing of the Swedish Green Party), member of the City Council of Stockholm and a member of the Swedish Parliament 2014 to 2016, where he was a member of the Defence Committee. Dalunde is a long time champion for combating climate change, the opportunity to travel by train through Europe and the situation in the Middle East.
