Since 2011, Ronan Dantec has served as a senator in the French Senate, representing the Loire-Atlantique region. His expertise spans environmental issues, sustainable development, biodiversity, energy, land-use planning and local governance.
As an environmental activist, Ronan Dantec also serves as the climate spokesperson for the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CCRE) and as president of the French NGO Climate Chance. As the head of the "Adaptation" commission within the National Council for the Green Transition, he has been a strong proponent of a climate warming trajectory based on the latest IPCC assessments.
