Transdev deploys Ezymob to improve inclusion, making public transport more accessible to people with disabilities.
Innovation for inclusion
At Transdev, we believe that innovation is an essential lever for improving inclusiveness in public transport. Our commitment is based on the conviction that everyone, whatever their situation, should be able to move around freely and without constraints. With this in mind, we have entered into a partnership with Ezymob, an innovative solution designed to facilitate mobility for people with disabilities.
Accessible transport is a major issue for the social inclusion and autonomy of people with disabilities. Thanks to the technology developed by Ezymob, we enable these users to gain greater autonomy and freedom in their day-to-day journeys. The application offers advanced functionalities such as door and seat detection, adapted itinerary calculators and precise guidance inside vehicles and transport infrastructures. These innovations simplify the use of public transport, reducing the apprehension often associated with journeys for people with disabilities or special needs.
Ezymob at Transdev: deployment on the Car Jaune network on Reunion Island
As part of our collaboration with Ezymob, we have deployed this innovative solution on the Car Jaune network in La Réunion. As Jules Caille, Project Manager at Transdev Services Réunion and responsible for the application’s deployment, explains, the aim is to make the network more accessible and user-friendly for all users, in particular people with disabilities. This approach is perfectly aligned with our mission to develop safe, reliable and innovative mobility services.
The Car Jaune network, which covers a large part of the island, is now equipped to offer a better transport experience for people with special needs. Thanks to the Ezymob application, these users can locate available seats or accessible doors, and benefit from intuitive guidance, all via an easy-to-use mobile interface.
Mobility is much more than a means of getting around, it’s the key to accessing social and professional life. By facilitating access to public transport, we enable people with disabilities to participate fully in community life, get to work or access essential services.
