Unfortunately, this year Transdev’s light rail operation, the Luas, won’t be transporting everyone to the parade, but we still wanted to show our support for LGBTQ+ colleagues, customers, and the wider community.
Banners have been displayed at depots to greet customers and colleagues alike, and internal communications are informing staff of the resources available and the history of the LGBTQ+ community in Dublin. Pride badges are being worn by Luas staff so they can show their support and small gestures of alliance like this don’t go unnoticed. Brian Doogan, who works in the Luas Network Management Center, shared his experience working with Transdev Luas as an out gay man over the last 16 years, speaking about how Ireland has changed and what it has meant for him to see colleagues showing their support. See the video with Brian about LGBTQ+ Pride below.
Our LGBTQ+ colleagues play an important part in keeping Dublin moving, reflecting the diversity of our city. Particularly during this challenging time, we are proud to show our support for LGBTQ+ colleagues and the LGBTQ+ community as whole.
