Two innovative Transdev projects have won awards in the 3rd edition of the Propulse innovation program run by the French Transport Innovation Agency.

The first, LEKO Mobile, developed by Métropole Rouen Normandie, Birdz, Transdev Rouen (TCAR) and Transdev Normandie, is a “mobile thermometer” that monitors and measures urban biodiversity. This revolutionary device collects data to assess the health of ecosystems.
The second project, Joseph, is being implemented by Soléa, Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération, IVECO BUS and Tallano Technologies. It aims to combat air pollution by recovering the fine particles emitted when buses brake.

These two projects join the three other winners already rewarded in the Propulse program, bringing the total number of Transdev projects supported to five. Previous winners include Mobility Learning through Games and Immersion (TADAO Lens and Mobi.deep), the Immersive Platform (STAC Chalon-sur-Saône) and the “Reassurance in Public Transport” program, notably with Umay.

These 3 initiatives have evolved considerably, the projects have been completed and are now benchmarks. Generally speaking, these new collaborations are important for us because, in addition to the visibility they provide, they strengthen our interactions with our supervisory Ministry (DGITM).

The Transport Innovation Agency’s Propulse program aims to select and then support innovations in the mobility sector with strong impacts in terms of energy and environmental transition, social and territorial cohesion and the digital transformation of transport systems. Each winning project will be supported by AIT for 9 months from March 2024 to accelerate their development.
