International Volunteering in company (V.I.E)
The International Volunteering in company (VIE) at Transdev is an opportunity offered to young people aged 18 to 29, citizens of the European Union, who wish to gain professional experience abroad in a French company.
Present in 19 countries, we offer VIEs for between 6 and 24 months, renewable once.
Since 2019, 48 assignments have been completed, and Transdev currently has 35 VIEs in progress, spread across various sectors, mainly Business Development and Operations but also Finance, Human Resources and Communications.
Transdev makes the most of the VIE experience by offering personalized HR follow-up via the Klara platform, dedicated to the support and development of volunteers. Proactive and motivated, these profiles project themselves within the Group, making this international experience a real springboard for launching their careers.
With a 67% integration rate after a successful mission, the VIE is a gateway to long-term opportunities at Transdev.
Practical information
VIEs are usually recruited via Business France, which provides support (country fact sheets, assignment procedures, etc.).

As a work-study student at Transdev's head office, I was delighted to work on strategic subjects at a Group level and to deploy solutions that have a social and environmental impact at every level. It's also an excellent opportunity for international career development, as I've been on a VIE assignment in Montreal since September 2023 as HR Project Manager for Transdev Québec. With this new experience, I've discovered the operational realities linked to our activities and I can see the positive effects of my work on our teams in Quebec. From a personal point of view, it's also an opportunity for me to live abroad, to get out of my comfort zone and discover North American culture, and more specifically Quebec culture.
