During the question and answer session, the partners emphasized the strong French-Japanese collaboration behind the success of the Lyons Smart Community project and the determination to establish sustainable urban mobility.
The project will test at neighborhood level the establishment of an intelligent and responsible city in which new technologies are used to optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impacts.
The Sunmoov' car sharing service is:
- Urban: 4-seat electric cars adapted for urban travel, with trunk capacity of 166 liters
- Connected: vehicles are equipped with USB and Bluetooth connectivity
Standalone: the embedded lithium-ion batteries provide a range of 120 kms, 100% electric, 100% ecological – quiet, clean, powered by solar energy - Intelligent: the TOSHIBA developed EMS system optimizes car sharing planning through the best balance between vehicle needs and renewable energy production and is able to determine whether a vehicle requires normal or rapid recharging.
