Starting on April 1st, a new integrated public transport network, Mobiave, will begin operations across the municipalities of Famalicão, Santo Tirso, and Trofa.

Mobiave, operated by Transdev, brings a significant improvement to public transport options around this area. Indeed, it will enhance accessibility, efficiency, and reliability for local residents. The new network will offer 90 bus routes, operated by 110 buses, and serving around 2,700 bus stops. As a result, it will expand significantly coverage and service availability.

Key features include new routes to industrial zones and increased frequency. The goal is to improve connectivity for workers and residents. The enhanced service will offer greater convenience for passengers, whether traveling within a single municipality or across multiple areas.

To enhance the passenger experience, Mobiave will provide real-time bus tracking, interactive maps, and up-to-date schedules via a dedicated website and app. These user-friendly tools will allow users to easily find routes, check bus locations, and plan their journeys more efficiently.

The new network is designed to meet the evolving needs of the population while promoting greater cooperation between the municipalities. Local leaders, including Famalicão’s mayor, Mário Passos, have emphasized the importance of this new system. It will serve as a modern and reliable transport option that benefits the economy and the daily lives of residents.

Sérgio Soares, CEO of Transdev Portugal, highlights that this project will provide a high-frequency public transport service. It will also ensure passenger mobility and improve the local quality of life. Backed by a team of 180 drivers and an experienced management team, Transdev, in collaboration with the three municipalities, is set to ensure a seamless and efficient service from day one.
