Operation and maintenance contract for the new Ontario Line metro line in Toronto (1)

Solid international expertise as operator of the metro transport systems in Mumbai, Seoul and Roissy Charles-de-Gaulle. From conventional metros to all-electric systems, we operate solutions for the city of the future

An international expertise

The backbone of public transport networks in the largest cities in the world, the metro is the mode of transport in which we have international expertise.

From operation to maintenance, from passenger information to customer services, from marketing to ticket sales…

In 2022 Transdev won two major projects:

  • the operation and maintenance of the Ontario Line (Canada), a new autonomous rapid transit line, for a period of 30 years;
  • the operation of the first metro line in Quito (Ecuador), put in service in 2023.

Automatic metro: CDGVAL and LISA, two strategic assets

In France, we have been operating two automatic metro lines at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport since 2014: a zero-emission solution at the centre of one of Europe’s largest airports. Accessible 7 days a week, CDGVAL serves 5 stations in 8 minutes and enables travellers to move freely between terminals, stations and car parks at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle. LISA links terminal 2E to the S3 and S4 boarding satellites, bypassing customs.

The Mumbai experience

In Mumbai, 80% of workers use the metro every day. Since 2014, we have provided passengers a metro line that is reliable, safe and connected to other transport modes. We designed the Mumbai metro to complete and decongest the existing public transport system.

Awarded several prizes for its quality of service and innovative solutions, Line 1 of the Mumbai metro received the “Best Metro of the Year” award in 2016 from the Indian Chambers of Commerce.

SL9 in Seoul (South Korea)

The second largest metropolis in the world with a population of 25 million people, Seoul is a pioneer city for the development of public transport infrastructures and digital solutions. Since 2009, we have been operating the SL9 line that links Gangnam to Gimpo Airport in 30 minutes. We strive to provide a reliable, accessible and high quality service.
