Transdev appoints Pier Eringa as CEO of Transdev Netherlands

Following the new Transdev Group organization, announced in January this year, Transdev is further reinforcing its top management team with the appointment of Pier Eringa to the position of Chief Executive Officer of Transdev Netherlands.

    Joining from ProRail, the Dutch national rail network, Pier Eringa will take on his new position as of September 1, 2019. In this position, Pier will report to Christian Schreyer, CEO Northern and Central Europe of Transdev Group.

    Transdev Netherlands, the parent company of Connexxion, Hermes and Witte Kruis among others, sees Pier’s appointment as a clear choice for the Group’s future development in the Netherlands with a focus on employees, customers, daily operations and tomorrow's mobility needs. Together, Transdev and Pier Eringa will continue on the path taken by Transdev towards a leading, cost-efficient and innovation-driven operator and integrator of public transport (bus and train), taxi, ambulance transport and new mobility services.

Pier brings a wealth of experience in public transport and in the public domain, in particular at ProRail since 2015.     Pier Eringa has occupied a number of top management positions at public institutions including KNVB (the Royal Dutch Football Association), the Dutch Ministry of Justice, the Netherlands Police and the Albert Schweitzer hospital.

    With its electric bus operations in Eindhoven and Amstelland-Meerlanden, Transdev is paving the way for 100% zero emission mobility along with its experiments in the field of hydrogen-powered electric buses in the country. Transdev Netherlands employs some 8,900 people and achieved 2018 revenues of €735 million.
