Appointment of Chairman & CEO of Transdev Group

Following a selection process that examined some very distinguished applicants, Transdev Group’s two shareholders, Caisse des Dépôts and Veolia Environnement, will soon propose that Thierry Mallet be made a Director of the Transdev Group, with a view to his upcoming appointment as Chairman and CEO.

The Board of Directors will meet to this end in the next few days.

Thierry Mallet is a graduate of École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and also holds a Master of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

He began his career in 1987 at the regional management of the French Ministry of Transport, heading up the department in charge of Motorway Management. In 1990, he joined Vivendi Paris Region (Générale des Eaux Group) as Vice President for the Southern Region, and was subsequently appointed Chargé de mission working alongside the CEO of Vivendi (Générale des Eaux) from 1991 to 1992. From 1993 to 1994, he acted as Chargé de Mission alongside the Financial Director of Vivendi Immobilier (SARI/SEERI) and in 1995 was appointed Managing Director of Grupo General de Aguas (Vivendi Water Spain). He then became Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Aqua Alliance Inc (Vivendi Water USA) from 1998 to 1999. In 2000 he was appointed Executive Vice President of Vivendi Water Systems in charge of Europe. He left the Générale des Eaux – Vivendi Environnement – Véolia Group in 2003, and joined Degremont (Suez Group) as Executive Vice President and then as CEO. He was appointed Senior Vice President in charge of International Operations and Member of the Executive Board of the Suez Group in 2010. Since 15 April 2013 Thierry Mallet has been Executive Vice President in charge of Innovation, Business Performance and Marketing for the Suez Group.
