Transdev, a pioneer of tomorrow’s mobility

At a time when mobility is a fundamental need, Transdev is working to develop autonomous shared transport to ease traffic congestion in cities and reduce pollution in urban areas. We want to improve mobility for everyone, everywhere, through new services, intelligently integrated into our existing public transport networks (which include buses, trams, subways, shared bicycles, etc.).

For Transdev, autonomous vehicles will bring real daily benefits by offering flexible, personalized and accessible services, more extensive services in time and/or space, less noise and air pollution, thanks to 100% electric vehicles, more safety and comfort. The challenge is to introduce autonomous technology at the service of shared transport (sharing of the vehicle and the journey), as Transdev is convinced that only under this condition will autonomous vehicles bring the expected daily benefits. Finally, Transdev has developed more integrated and connected services for a better customer experience so that autonomous shared transport is simple and adopted by all.

‘Autonomous Transport System' by Transdev: for shared and safe autonomous mobility

Led by an internal team of international experts integrated into the Autonomous Transport Systems Department, the development of the Autonomous Transport System by Transdev illustrates Transdev group’s commitment to ensuring passenger safety, service quality and customer experience with autonomous vehicles; exactly as Transdev does today with driven vehicles. To achieve this, Transdev relies on its own technologies called Transportation Technology by Transdev, developed with its ecosystem of partners, which includes the best research centers and leading industrial companies in this field. The Autonomous Transport System by Transdev offer consists of supervision, connected infrastructure, client application, and embedded intelligence in autonomous vehicles.

As part of this system, Transdev is developing, with its partner Lohr, the new electric and autonomous i-Cristal shuttle. Other vehicles integrated into this system will complete the service offer.
