Transdev Dublin Light Rail Limited – Transdev Group – won renewal of its contract to operate the network in the Irish capital.

The five-year € 150 million contract begins September 29, covering operation and maintenance as well as innovative initiatives for safety and combating fraud.

The organizing authority, the Railway Procurement Agency (RPA), renewed its confidence in Transdev Dublin based on the savings achieved and the significant increase in annual passengers, which has risen from 8 million in 2005 to its current level of 30 million (or 80,000 per day).

The network is composed of two light rail lines circulating on 37 kilometers of line and covering 3 million kilometers per year.

Renewal of this important contract is the result of the work done by Transdev over the past 10 years. With RPA, we have built a customized and inventive offer that guarantees reliability, safety, punctuality and continuously improved service.
