A “Synchro” transport offer designed to improve equity, efficiency and multimodality

With an average of 8.86 million passengers, and over 4.5 million commercial kilometers covered in a full year, Transdev's ambition is to increase network ridership by 28%. In order to better serve the community, the TOD (Transport On Demand) offer will be simplified and made more attractive to serve the whole territory.

The bus network will be restructured, in particular to improve the services offered to employees and increase the modal share of public transport in the area: creation of an express line, introduction of transport on demand specifically for working people, connection with the first morning TGV train to Paris...

    Modernized payment methods

From summer 2025, a solution for easy payment and validation by credit card on board buses (Open Payment) will be introduced.

A real commitment to improving air quality and reducing the carbon footprint of transport

The Pluriannual Investment Plan provides for the renewal of part of the vehicle fleet and the reduction of its carbon footprint, with a target of 45% reduction in CO2 emissions.

A biogas compressor station will be installed at the current depot to fuel the gas-powered buses purchased by Grand Chambéry. Electric buses will also complete the network’s energy mix.

Transdev Grand Chambéry, a company committed to the region

With almost 270 employees, Transdev Grand Chambéry will be a benchmark employer in the region, with a concrete commitment to sustainable employment and the promotion of social integration. The dedicated subsidiary will become a mission-driven company as of 2026, and will help federate the company around a common project. As a partner of Grand Chambéry, Transdev will contribute its expertise to the creation of the new operations center, due to open in 2029.

This new contract testifies to the trust between Grand Chambéry and Transdev. By listening to the needs and expectations formulated by the Transit Authority, Transdev has been able to propose a rethought public transport offer for the territory. Thanks to the complementary nature of our modes of transport and the ease of travel for passengers, our tailor-made mobility solutions aim to create a real alternative to the use of private cars in the Grand Chambéry area.
