With almost 130 years of history, the UITP Global Public Transport Summit, to be held from June 9-12, 2019 in Stockholm (Sweden) remains the world’s biggest event dedicated to sustainable mobility. With this year’s topic “The Art of Public Transport”, covering all urban and regional transportation modes across the globe, the Summit combines a diverse program of leading congress sessions and an outstanding exhibition full of the latest innovations, solutions and products.
On June 11 at 3:15 pm, Thierry Mallet, Chairman and CEO of Transdev Group and Mohamed Mezghani, Secretary General of the UITP will jointly sign an agreement to establish a new UITP Regional Training Center at Transdev headquarters in Issy-les-Moulineaux (France). Upcoming sessions offered through the Paris regional training center will be:
- Artificial Intelligence – July 3-5;
- Mobility as a Service (MaaS) – October 7-9;
- Crowd Management – October 14-16.
The overarching goal of the UITP Center for Training is advancing talent in public transportation: because well-trained staff and customer-focused operations are essential to providing the highest quality of service needed for public transportation systems and offering reliable and attractive mobility choices. UITP has developed a portfolio of training programs that play an important role in the development of public transportation businesses.
The Congress sessions are the ideal place to debate and explore the strategic vision and business activities of an evolving sector. The event is also designed to provide strategic opportunities to network and develop new partnerships, investments and innovative projects.
