Veolia Transdev opened its new head office on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 in a ceremony attended by André Santini, Deputy Mayor and former government minister, along with other prominent figures from the municipality of Issy-les-Moulineaux (France), the Greater Paris-West Seine Urban Community, and the business development facilitator Seine Ouest Entreprise et Emploi. Veolia Transdev Chairman and CEO Jérôme Gallot and Dominique Gauthier, COO and Director France were also present.

In early March, Veolia Transdev moved into its new head office building at 32 boulevard Gallieni in Issy-les-Moulineaux on the outskirts of Paris, in the heart of the Forum Seine business district. The Séreinis building now accommodates the France entity staff and the Corporate Support teams, who were initially based in two other locations. A total of 500 employees now work at the new site.

The building combines comfort and high-tech equipment. Its environmental features reflect a design and engineering focus on performance and well-being. Séreinis houses about 550 workstations on six floors. It is also equipped with some 300 parking spaces (12 of which for disabled people) and many spaces for two-wheeled vehicles. It is arranged around interior courtyards and landscaped patios. It offers high-quality services, with a company cafeteria and coffee bar.

On each floor of office space, furniture and fittings were chosen so that each employee would enjoy the best installations and optimal working conditions. For example, offices have a floor area of about 10 square meters and comply with Afnor standards. Each department manager was consulted to take an inventory of needs and divide the available space into the optimal number of private and group offices while at the same time working within current economic constraints. The result is space broken down into 28% private offices and 66% shared offices. The latter will mainly accommodate two people, with some offices for up to 4 people. In addition, 6% of the work area consists of small open-plan spaces for 5 to 8 people. Finally, a total of 26 conference rooms with capacities of 4 to 16 people are located throughout the floors of the building.

Recent news events can only highlight the need to place the accent on the construction of Veolia Transdev and on its corporate vision. It is up to us, with the support of Caisse des Dépôts, to be the architects of our future. This new building is already an example. It will make life easier for our employees, enable us to work together more efficiently and effectively.
Jérôme Gallot, CEO of Veolia Transdev
