Transdev Wellington Ltd and its maintenance partner Hyundai Rotem have been operating train services in the Greater Wellington Region since July 2016. We run more than 2,100 services each week facilitated by our team of more than 430 people.

Our aim is to provide Wellington with a friendly, reliable world-class rail service that meets the needs and expectations of Wellington current rail users, attracting new users at the same time.

Transdev has operated the Inner West Light Rail on behalf of Transport for New South Wales since 1998. The 12.7 kilometer route connects Central Station and Dulwich Hill via 23 stops, and transports more than 9.7 million customers each year.

In 2014, Transdev (part of the ALTRAC Light Rail consortium) won a tender to operate and maintain the new CBD and South East Light Rail network. Once open, the new network will provide a vital link from the heart of Sydney to the growing Eastern suburbs, touching key community activation hubs at such as Surrey Hills, the Moore Park precinct, and Royal Randwick Racecourse.

In late-2018, Transdev was awarded the contract to supply, operate and maintain Stage One of the new Parramatta Light Rail.

Light rail trains have been running between the eastern and western parts of the north coast of Hong Kong Island since 1904. Over 110 years later, the system retains a special place in a city able to boast an outstanding transportation infrastructure. In 2009, Transdev has taken over its operational management.
