Transdev subsidiary, Griensteidl bus company in Gröbenzell near Munich, Germany has once again been awarded the contract to provide emergency bus services and rail replacement services for the two regional rail networks operated by Agilis in Upper Franconia/Upper Palatinate and in the Danube Valley (Ulm-Ingolstadt-Regensburg) in Bavaria.

The contracts that were awarded after a standard European tendering procedure are for a period of 8 years, including an option for three extension of two more years each.

Griensteidl bus company has already organized such transportation services on behalf of Agilis in previous years. For example, the emergency bus service and rail replacement service volume in 2020 was around 372,000 bus kilometers and included approximately 250 contracts. The volume of the networks to the services managed by Agilis will increase by a third with the new contract. We say congratulations to everyone involved.

We are pleased that Agilis has entrusted us again with the operation of the BNV and SEV with the start of operations of the new networks, among other things due to the positive experiences in the past, and that we can thus continue and further expand the good cooperation. This win was made possible by a team effort between our Operations Manager Semir Dougui in Gröbenzell, and the Head of Business Development Southern Region Manfred Kienzler.
