The Grenoble community (SMTC) today confirmed its choice of Transdev – Semitag to operate its transport network.

The new public service delegationwill begin July 2013 for a period of seven and a half years.

Partners since 1975, Transdev and Semitag will focus on creating a new momentum throughout the network by providing a simplified, clearer transport offer, including:

  • Segmentation in four products: Tramway, Chrono (specific bus) Proximo (bus) and Flexo (transport on demand)
  • A clear and attractive customer promise: frequency, size, scheduling, routes, reinforced coverage serving 99% of the Grenoble area communities
  • A new visual identity with a renewed vehicle livery

ISO 9001- certified since 1996, the network consists of four tram lines (with a fifth under construction), 25 bus routes and 15 park-and-ride facilities and covers 28 Grenoble area communities.

Nearly 1,500 employes work each day to ensure the network’s performance and safety.
