Transdev Germany subsidiary Rohde Verkehrsbetriebe GmbH (RVB) is expected to operate bus services in the Ostholstein Nord route bundle for nine years from December 2022. The news was announced by the Kreis Ostholstein regional transit authority. The first journeys in the new network could start as early as September 2022.
The contract, which involves around 2.1 million timetable kilometers per year in classic scheduled services as well as services with minibuses on call, involves bus services in a network stretching from Fehmarn to Neustadt in Holstein along the Baltic Sea. The contract is expected to require around 60 employees.
Winning this contract is very good news for us. After losing the Ostholstein Mitte network in 2020, we are now back in the district and can convince our customers of our capabilities.
