Transdev Savoie has been chosen by Les Allues to operate the Méribel site shuttles under a 4-year contract. The contract strengthens Transdev's presence in the Tarentaise region, making it the mobility operator for the world's largest ski area.
Transdev is thus extending its territorial footprint to the 3 Vallées site (the world’s largest ski area) with its 3 international resorts:
- Courchevel, with which Transdev has a contract running until November 2025.
- Les Belleville (Val Thorens / Les Menuires), whose contracts have just been renewed for 2 years.
- Méribel, for a 4-year contract.
Skibus services, consisting of city shuttles, are designed for optimum accessibility. They operate from 7 to 8 a.m. daily, and sometimes until 2 a.m., providing free connections to all key points in the resorts via several regular routes.
New vehicles for the fleet
From December 1, 2023, the Méribel fleet will be enhanced by 12 new or refurbished buses, manned by 28 dedicated drivers and 4 dispatchers to ensure smooth and safe services.
This new challenge is part of a strong commitment to investing in human capital throughout the region, with the current recruitment of 80 seasonal drivers in the three valleys, benefiting from housing and attractive remuneration conditions.
We are delighted to be entering into a solid 4-year partnership between Les Allues and Transdev, and to be able to develop, extend and modernize the Skibus network. We would like to thank the elected representatives for their confidence, and we are particularly proud to support this region, a ski area with worldwide appeal, in its desire to develop mobility.
Ludovic Jourdain, Regional Director, Transdev Auvergne Rhône-Alpes.
Congratulations to Nicolas Pruvot, Director of Transdev Savoie, and to the Transdev Auvergne Rhône Alpes teams for their ongoing support and close collaboration in bringing this project to fruition.
