Transdev’s light rail operation in Barcelona, TRAM, and Consorci de Turisme renewed its agreement to promote La Ruta del Tram website to encourage tourism in the Baix Llobregat area in southern Barcelona. “La Ruta del TRAM” offers discounts on tourist, cultural and culinary attractions near the Trambaix network.
Consorci de Turisme del Baix Llobregat (Baix Llobregat Tourism Council), TRAM, the Baix Llobregat County Council and the cities of Cornellà de Llobregat, Esplugues de Llobregat, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí and Sant Just Desvern have renewed their collaboration to continue promoting La Ruta del TRAM (the TRAM Route).
The tourism campaign, already consolidated in the area, promotes sustainable tourism using public transportation to discover significant spots, visit emblematic buildings and enjoy the culinary offering near the tram line in the Baix Llobregat. ‘La Ruta del TRAM’ also offers discounts on these tourist, cultural and culinary attractions near the Trambaix network.
The campaign launch event, which took place on May 5, 2022 at Parc de Torreblanca, featured President of the Baix Llobregat Tourism Council and County Council Eva M. Martínez Morales, Cornellà de Llobregat City Councillor for Tourism Nèlia Martínez Gallardo, Esplugues de Llobregat Third Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economy and Employment Montserrat Zamora Angulo, Sant Feliu de Llobregat Mayor Lídia Muñoz Cáceres, Sant Joan Despí Councillor for Tourism Àlex Medrano Soler, Sant Just Desvern Councilor for Tourism Alícia Murciano Zurita, and TRAM General Manager Humberto López Vilalta.
Attractions in Baix Llobregat and “La Ruta del TRAM”
La Ruta del TRAM features a wide range of cultural attractions to discover, including the Modernisme works of Jujol in Sant Joan Despí, the old ‘La Rajoleta’ ceramics factory in Esplugues de Llobregat, Palau Mercader and Museu de les Matemàtiques in Cornellà de Llobregat, El Mirador restaurant and the Walden building in Sant Just Desvern, and Palau Falguera and the Modernist Route in Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
