In support the ecological transition of the region, Transdev has chosen to present a hydrogen electric bus to local actors of Auvergne-Rhône-Alp.

The demonstration of the vehicle, which took place from November 30 to December 4 aimed to better promote the technology and its advantages, while creating an exchange with decision-makers in the Arve valley on the topic of hydrogen fueled transit.

As the historical operator of bus networks, regular routes and ski routes in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Transdev is a key partner in the region and regularly offers its community customers the development of multiple local projects in favor of low-carbon mobility. Thus, Mont Blanc Bus, a subsidiary of Transdev which operates the Chamonix and Cluses networks in Haute-Savoie, for its part carried out various experiments in this area, which made it possible to convert part of the Chamonix network fleet.

In Valence, the objective is to go from 20 to 40 buses running on natural gas, including 5 in 2020 and 5 more for 2021, complementing a large electric fleet (23 vehicles by 2021). In Vichy, 4 electric vehicles are already in operation on the Mobivie network.

Reducing economic and energy dependence on fossil fuels is a priority. Our objective as a partner of communities and a mobility operator is to ensure a real transformation of our economic model towards carbon-free mobility. Hence our commitment to quickly convert the fleet of vehicles in our area to a growing share of low and zero emission vehicles, and we are already well advanced in this direction, with electric, BioNGV and soon hydrogen.
